The Record Journal is the local paper in Meriden, CT. If you are interested in reading newpaper articles about the fire, the families involved, the communities response, and all associated topics, you can visit their website. There has been a box on the front page of the site with many of the articles available, but a search of their site for the name D’Aniello will yield even more articles.

Trent and Tristyn both had skin graft surgery yesterday. It apparently went very well for both boys. Ethan said that the surgeon sounded more upbeat about the boys than he has previously. Trent was moving around a lot though, and they were going to need to find a different medication to keep him semi-sedated. Tristyn’s temperature was a bit low so they’ve covered him with an aluminum blanket to help warm him up a bit. Amanda Blair (a PA) went with Ethan today to the hospital and said the boys were indeed receiving excellent care. The nurses were willing to chat with her about the skin grafting, and Amanda said it was done very well, and looks good.

Dan and Lois still need prayers as they are constantly being emotionally torn between three places- their home and younger boys needs, Rebekah in CT, and Melissa’s family in Boston.

Rebekah is talking more, and has stated that she does want to continue with her plans for attending school to be a Nurses Assistant. She says that is the best thing she could do. A wonderful plan indeed.
